Click a colour to change the kitchen.

I created these images for a client who sells handmade kitchen tiles. He wanted to present his extensive colour collection to his customers in a professional, consistent way. In total, I made more than thirty of them.

A different atmosphere every time

I wanted to show how one sleek kitchen takes on a completely different look by playing with the colour and the glaze of the tiles. From deep, mysterious shades to fresh, light colours: each colour instantly creates its own atmosphere.

From wireframe to render

First, I set up a single photorealistic base scene of the kitchen, with the lighting and the styling. Then I built a flexible shader setup for the tiles. This allows me to switch precisely between colours while preserving the glaze and the irregularities of the handmade tiles.

The biggest challenge

Making sure the lighting and the reflections stay equally convincing, lively and natural in every colour.
